The natural beauty of an area comes out when it is very less traveled. The Himalayas are one such place. Come challenge yourself by cycling through the Himalayan valleys and mountains. Here the only sound you’ll hear most of the time is that of the Himalayan river flowing in full force just beside the road. The dramatic picture that is created in front of your eyes during sunset while cycling in the Himalayan valley is worth it.
The roads here are in superb condition, thanks to the BRO (Border Roads Organization). But, who would not enjoy a small river crossings along the road? It’s a part of our adventure, isn’t it? Enjoy the unofficial local food of the Himalayas which is Maggi, maybe click a photo with the yaks along the road and meet the sweet and happy people of the Himalayas. Cycling here is truly bliss.
We at Cycling in India have planned the itinerary in such a way that it covers many less explored Himalayan villages like Auli, Chamoli, Rudtaprayag and Deoprayag. We will take you through the rich Himalayan culture, the ancient temples, and stories of kings who ruled these areas at some point in time. Cycling through the scarcely populated villages, you will get to the sights where ancient Narad Muni (saints) meditated here for years. The towering and magnificent Himalyan ranges are always present in front of your eyes. It’s fascinating to see their colors change as the day passes by.
Also not to forget the convergence of gushing Himalayan rivers at some point of time. You can dare to take a dip in their freezing cold water. Truly cycling here is not less than a spiritual experience.
